Brugge

Brugge is all people say it is. It is a beautiful even quaint city that has been somewhat frozen in time by it's river silting up in the middle ages. The river was eventually opened back up in the modern era, but the long slumber must have helped preserve many older buildings. The Basilica of the Holy Blood (said to house a relic of Jesus' blood) and the Stadhuis are all must sees. We stayed at the Hotel Jan Brito and found it be an excellent accommodation.
